So after over a year's hiatus, I'm back to writing on my blog. It feels good! I think that I stopped blogging because I wasn't happy with the direction that my blog was going, granted I only had 5 posts. I had just been accepted to grad school and moved into a new apartment. My sister moved in with me and life felt different than it did when I was an undergrad. Could I be entering into adulthood? Hmmm. No matter what it was, I didn't feel the need to post on my blog. I almost felt as if I had pressured myself to keep up a good blog that would reflect a professional student coming up in the world of Journalism. Even though I was writing my own words, I felt stifled, constricted. So, I didn't write.
Enter a year later and here I am. For a few months now, I've been wanting to open my computer and slap at my keyboard, penning my thoughts. So, here I am. I've given my blog a new look and a new name. Neither are permanent; I'm still trying to find the best fit for my "new" blog. I have started with the name "The Night Owl" because I am a night person. I love staying up late and that is when I do most of my writing. I think it also reflects the soulful, pondering direction that I feel my blog is headed.
I hope that you'll stay a while; get to know me. I plan to keep up the blog as often as I'm able (but doesn't everyone say that?). Amidst my life as a student, daughter, sister, girlfriend, worker, and Jesus-lover, I will pen my thoughts here. And you may read them if you wish.
Yours truly,
Juana
